4 Keys to Reclaiming Your Health

For the last two years I didn’t think I’d ever be able to run again. And, for the last 10 years, I thought the sometimes lack of energy and long recovery time I had was either the aging process or the affects from a 2 year virus in my head – or a combination of both.

Wow, was that all a belief. Now that I feel the best I have in my life (yes, I can honestly say that), I know that having my full health back (and yours too) is not a fantasy. It can be a reality.

6 months ago, laying on my living room floor staring at the ceiling because of intense back and hip pain, I wouldn’t have guessed I could be doing what I’m doing now – running 8-10 miles a day (bounding like a gazelle), going swimming after or dancing in the evening and not feeling tired until I put my head on the pillow. Who knew?

At a recent retreat with Dr. Joe Dispenza, author of You are the Placebo and Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself, I was nicknamed the miracle runner by the other participants. My healing is truly miraculous!

Anything is possible (for you too).

And it’s not just the increase of energy and the dissolving of hip and back pain I’ve experienced.

Here’s some other miraculous changes in my body over the last 3 months (since rewiring my brain to heal my body): a shoulder injury I had from 20 years ago is completely gone. No pain, no limitations. I can throw a ball all day if I want and I have full range of motion. Foot pain (possibly plantar fasciitis) is completely gone. I can walk barefoot on the beach and even dance on a concrete floor barefoot and have no pain! A mole on my chest that I’d had for years and was getting increasingly bigger over the last 2 years, dried up and fell off (no joke). And the EMF (electromagnetic field) sensitivity I’ve had for the last 16 months has decreased by 50% – woohoo!

I’d call all that a HUGE celebration. And there’s even more: my creative channels are open and flowing, my intuition is channeling clearly, and I feel happy, content, joyful and grateful pretty much ALL THE TIME.

All of this from using the practice of rewiring the brain through the science of neuroplasticity.

It truly works. It goes to the ROOT of the issue/problem instead of treating a symptom.

Here’s the thing: your body has almost EVERYTHING it needs to heal you. Everything. It rarely needs something from the outside to heal. The only thing you need to do is learn how to activate the growth and repair chemicals your body naturally produces, and voila – you have your full health back and then some.

As Dr. Joe Dispenza writes about in his book, Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself, only 5% of all illness/diseases/ailments are related to genetics (and even those can be changed). 95% of all illness/diseases/ailments are related to one or more of these three things: lifestyle choices, chronic stress, or environmental toxins.

When we’re in a state of stress, the brain releases adrenaline, cortisol and norepinephrine. The body does this so we have the energy to run from the tiger or lion that’s chasing us (think primitive times). But now most westerners are in a constant or chronic stress that is producing these chemicals on an almost daily basis, or when we’re going through a difficult time from health, career, finances, relationships. or loss of someone.

The result can be disease/illness/ailments from the constant flood of these chemicals. When we learn to rewire the brain, we can actually activate all the growth and repair chemicals of the brain like dopamine, endorphins, serotonin, and oxytocin by combining an elevated emotional state (joy, gratitude, happiness) with an intention (imagining yourself running, dancing, doing what you want your body to be doing).

This changes the cellular structure of your body and creates new neural pathways in the brain to hardwire happiness and health.

It’s so incredible!

Are you creating your illness/condition? NO. Is it a product of being human and living in this day and age where we have modern conveniences, chronic stress, and toxins all around us? YES

What I continue to learn is that you can heal your body of almost ANYTHING. You name it, and the infinite intelligence of your body can heal it.

A client with digestive issues for the last 18 years, after learning the practice of rewiring her brain, is now able to eat anything she wants. Anything, without issue (she’s really loving the bakery!).

Another client who had a traumatic brain injury 22 years ago and was experiencing on average 10 seizures a month, had only 2 small seizures over a months time after doing the practice for 5 weeks, as well as a decrease in migraines, and sometimes able to stop them all together.

Another client who had anxiety for many years has almost no anxiety after 5 weeks of practice. She feels content, peaceful, grounded, centered.

I’m not making this stuff up. These are real people having real changes.

I KNOW you can have your full health back. I know this in every cell of my body. I’m living it, and I’m living proof.

I’ve just got to throw this in too: I met an incredible woman at Dr. Joe Dispenza’s retreat last week who chose not to have chemo done to treat a rare form of soft tissue cancer she was diagnosed with 1.5 years ago. She’s currently cancer free and in love with life. Here we are post dance party – happy and healthy!

And yet another woman who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease (supposedly incurable) in 2004, and up until a year ago was shuffling around unable to move her body much, and after 6 weeks of rewiring, she was able to lift her leg after 10 years of not being able to. 1.5 years after doing the rewiring practice, she’s completely symptom free and feels like she’s 20 years old with vibrant energy (she looks amazing!).

Again – true stories of real healing.

Here are the 4 keys to reclaiming your health if you choose to take this path of rewiring your brain:

  1. A calling.You’ve got to have a calling in your heart or gut that says there’s another way. A clarity that says, “I want my health back, and I’m prioritizing it above everything else.” This means that you are an active participant not a passive participant in your health care.What your doctor says to you is ONE perspective, not necessarily the only or best option for you. Get educated and listen to your gut. When one of my physical therapists told me that carrying a backpack may not be the best thing for my back (and based on western medicine, I can understand why she said that), I chose to not believe it. I now know I can carry a pack. I KNOW it.
  2. Believe. Believe that you can heal and have your full health back. Every thought and belief you have impacts your body – either adding to the illness/ailment/disease, or healing it. Once you believe you can heal, this is when you start to heal. You must believe anything is possible and your body is no exception.Your body will respond on a cellular level to this new belief.This will help you in overcoming doubts and comfort in the known of how you’re currently feeling (there’s an addiction or identity with your current state of health) along your path to recovery.
  3. Olympic determination. You’ve got to do what it takes, not what’s convenient. Another supplement isn’t going to treat the root cause. You’ve got to do the work to have your full health. Think of it like this: you’re going for the GOLD. Whether it’s your physical health, or depression, anxiety, OCD, or PTSD, go for the GOLD and do what it takes.
  4. Guidance. Doing it on your own doesn’t provide the accountability and learning that can make a huge difference in your healing. There are specific methods to rewiring the brain for having your full health back. Choose one and put all your energy into it. I know the one I learned works as it healed my body, so it’s the one I teach to clients.
