Drop the Wiggly Words and Stand in the Unlimited

I had this habit years ago of using the word, “just” in my language. “I just want to make the bed first. I just think it’s not okay to say xyz, You can just put your jacket over there.”

All of those sentences are using a word that keeps me in a limited way of thinking. It doesn’t allow my mind or my self-esteem to really expand or stand in the power that’s possible.

I thought the word “just” was gone from my vocabulary until I noticed it start to creep in in the last few months, so I’ve been stopping myself when I notice by saying the sentence again, “No just, I think it’s not okay to say xyz.”

That allows me to stand in my power, more firmly, more confidently.

Other words I call “wiggly words” are: maybe, sort of, kind of, I can’t, and try. They give you (and me) the “out” if I want it. We don’t have to really commit. If it doesn’t work out, then oh well, we “tried” it and it didn’t work.

Much easier to say that then to plant our foot firmly in the ground and say, “I will climb that mountain” vs. “I’ll try to climb that mountain.” or “Maybe I’ll plant a garden this year” vs. “I’ll plant a garden this year” or “I won’t plant a garden this year.”

When we’re talking about healing the body, the mind, or the emotions, this is paramount.

What you think is your reality. If you wiggle your way with your words, that will remain your reality.

But if you think with firmness, with a knowing, this will change your internal energy and open your mind to confidence and possibility.

Unlimited thinking is about thinking beyond what you currently believe is possible. We live in a world where our culture has a certain container, if you will, on what’s possible. You want to think beyond the cultural norm.

What IF you could write that book? What IF you could do a job you actually LOVE? What IF you could run for an hour? What if you could have the relationship of your dreams? What IF you could have your health back? What IF you could feel totally at peace?

All of these are possible, but they’re only possible if you think – not just believe, but know that they are possible and you keep telling your self that every day.

Every day you can create a new neural pathway that says, “This is possible” and everyday the cells of your body respond to that possibility and grow and become more responsive to that thought with increased energy, a more open heart, brighter eyes, and seeing opportunities that you might not have seen before.

There is UNLIMITED possibility in this world. It’s only the mind that holds us back, and it’s mind that can free us.

For one week, notice the wiggly words and stop yourself as you’re saying them or right after and rephrase it without the word. Notice how you feel in your body when you do this.

Then the following week think unlimited. Ask the “What if this were possible?” question every day and notice what happens with the way you see yourself and the world.

What if you could see the energy of the trees? Or feel the energy of the flower? Or learn how to scuba dive? Or anxiety is no longer? What if?

I believe in you – actually I KNOW you can do this!
